How do you capture your self-portraits? Do you set a timer on your camera or phone, or use a remote trigger? 📸

Personally, I love using my phone as both a monitor and a trigger. It’s a total game-changer because with the right app, I can also control all the key settings in real-time—aperture, shutter speed, white balance, ISO—all right from my phone. Having that level of control lets me tweak every detail to match my creative vision, whether it’s adjusting for perfect lighting, creating that smooth background blur, or capturing crisp motion. It’s all about setting up the shot exactly the way I want it. With my Sony cameras I use the "Creators' App" ✨

Throwback to my first hike with wild alligators 🐊 in Florida – New Year's Day, 2023. Not gonna lie, I nearly turned back when I spotted the first big 'Swamp Puppy' sprawled across the entire trail. Actually, I did turn around! As I was heading back, I ran into an older couple who seemed like they knew their way around. I stopped and told them, 'Hey, there’s a huge gator up ahead, so I turned around.' They just smiled and said, 'Oh, you're new here. Come with us, you’ll be fine. Plus, you’re faster than us if it decides to chase!' 😂

So, I went with them, heart racing, palms sweaty... until we got to the gator. We literally stepped over it. After that, the other ten gators we passed were a breeze.

Now, if you encounter a gator in the wild, remember to stay cautious. If it hisses, don’t approach or provoke it. But most of the time, they're just basking in the sun, warming up for another day in beautiful Florida. 🐊

Nature is incredible, and gators have become one of my absolute favorite animals. Who would’ve thought I’d love being out there with them? 😊📸

Being a content creator is a journey filled with highs, lows, and countless learning experiences. Some days, you’re overflowing with ideas and inspiration, ready to bring fresh visions to life. Other days, though, your mind can get tangled up in doubts, or fixate on things that pull you out of your creative flow. It’s in those moments that staying grounded and refocusing becomes key, reminding yourself why you started creating in the first place. Embracing both the challenges and the rewards of this path is what ultimately fuels growth and resilience. 📸

With that said... always go back to trusting yourself and remember why you started in the first place. 🙌
